Abstract
In the wake of the pandemic, Peruvian financial institutions have made rapid progress in their digital transformation, as reflected in the widespread adoption of new digital financial services. This has been particularly evident in the development of digital payments and the provision of small-amount loans (microcredits). The article highlights the growing importance of these services within the operations of financial institutions and analyzes the channels through which digital payments may be driving the growth of microloans.
