Abstract
China and India have surprised the world with sustained growth rates in recent years, to the point of becoming the world’s leading consumers of raw materials. This inevitably leads to comparisons and an analysis of whether this competition between the two countries is analogous to the race between the hare (China) and the tortoise (India).
