Resumen:
We present a theoretical framework that accounts for labor market segmentation (formal and informal markets). Based on survey data (ENAHO 2007), we determine the informality levels according to different definitions. We also identify key factors that explain labor inclusion in both formal and informal markets. Finally, we estimate the returns to education for the two markets.
